According to our friends over at High Flyers, year on year graduate vacancies have increased with 2016 being the highest year since the pre-recession peak in 2007 with biggest growth within engineering and the industrial sector, public sector and finance and banking.
With this increasing growth, more than a quarter of the leading employers are investing more in their graduate recruitment activity from career fairs, social media, digital marketing and on campus presence activities to an average 20 universities.
What does this mean? With competition increasing with other graduate employers, recruitment marketing strategies need to be more specific to the target audience employers want to talk to, it’s no longer enough to have a one size fits all approach to hope students will remember you.
With so many platforms that students will first see you, each touch point needs to take students through a journey that will keep them engaged from day 1.
