Our current product portfolio consists of a brilliant multi-poster that helps our clients to know where the talent is, when they’re active, and what they are applying for. It’s easy to use, insightful, reliable and it looks great. We have independent data we share that gives candidates and clients the truth about where to attract talent. We have two decades of experience in advising on recruitment attraction strategies and what media can be used to reach the best people.

This is just the beginning; there are so many ways that we can help create connections that attract the talent that clients need. You’ll play your part in the development of this.

What you will do:

This is where you come in. You will take overall responsibility for all things client-focused at Wave, including overseeing the Account Managers who look after the clients on a day-to-day basis. It starts from the experience clients receive when they first enquire into our services, to closing and onboarding, to what happens when they’re a client. This includes celebrating when things are going well as well as the occasional times things haven’t gone so well. You will implement processes, systems and strategies to ensure that all clients experience outstanding customer service and get real value from the products. We’re not interested in just winning client subscriptions – we want to help them attract more of the talent they need.

We’re at the point where we are ready to launch at pace. We’ve spent a long time working on the products, the people and the systems and now we need to get moving. With that in mind, you’ll also be looking after some sales for us, helping the account managers to bring in more clients as well as working on bringing in your own clients, so you’ll need to have a good sales persona about you, possibly having worked in a sales role in the past.

People management and development is a high priority in this job, so you’ll need to be an excellent people manager in terms of motivation, development and management. Compassion is really important – you understand what motivates some and what engages others. The more that we can engage our team, the better service we’ll provide to our clients, and the better business we’ll have.

It’s something of a hybrid job, we need part sales person, part people manager, part operations, part influencer, part thought leader, part R&D. This hybridity is in Wave’s DNA and represents many of us.

We’re a flexible company, so in terms of hours we can adjust to suit. Part time, full time, we’re open to working with our employees so can fit with other life commitments you may have. Working from home isn’t a problem either but this is a highly visible role, so realistically you’ll probably need to be in the office more often than not. Ultimately, what you do is more important than how many days you’re in the office. We’re open to discussion if there are certain requirements.

Who are you?

Based on the above, you might come from a variety of places. What’s important is not where you’ve been but who you are. You should have some sales experience and you will know how to manage and develop people. If you’ve worked in a tech business, that’s great. You should know about the recruitment industry ideally, either client, agency or vendor side. You’re happy talking to senior clients and closing big deals, and yet equally happy to see your team grow and develop.

Salary – we’re offering up to £50k, plus a sales performance related bonus of 15k. If you can help us achieve everything we want to, expect your pay and rewards to grow in line with our successes.
